Basic BBC iPlayer widget for Nokia E52, E55, E72

The BBC can take some time (if ever) to allow new devices to access their TV catch up service  iPlayer.

This widget is the original basic one allowing you to view streamed versions of BBC programmes in the UK, sorry no downloads or radio in this version.

Nokia N97, why it’s time for it to go…

After two months my love affair with the Nokia N97 is over, it’s been shortlived I know, but I expect certain things from my mistress’s these days and the N97 just doesn’t deliver.

I can forgive the processor speed and the low ram, in the real world they haven’t caused me any issues, my N97 has been reliable, hasn’t crashed, locked up and my camera lense isn’t scratched.

Access your Apple Mobile Me iDisk with the Nokia E75

If you have an Apple Mobile Me account it is now possible to access your iDisk using the Nokia E75, (or any other S60 FP2 device)

iDisk is basically a 20GB online harddrive, instantly accessible from your Mac, it is ideal for storing files online that you might need to access when away from your computer.

Sadly the Mobile Me web interface doesn’t work on the S60 webkit browser, however if you have a Nokia E75 it is now possible to access your iDisk direct using the new ‘Remote Drives’ function. Read more…
